secret garden inspired wedding in the heart of Miami Florida

Being a South Florida native (born in Boca General, where’s my Broward County people at?!) I was so so so excited when Kelly and Brianne reached out to me to inquire about wedding planning services. I’ll take any excuse to escape down south for a weekend. I’m so grateful these two ended up trusting me as their planner because oh my goodness; what a stunning & beautiful day!

The couple’s color palette focused on soft shades - lavender and lilac paired beautifully with the white and creamy neutrals. The couple decided to accent this dreamy cottage garden inspired color palette with gold pieces. Gold frames for the table numbers, gold chargers, and even some small tea light votives. The entire day was cloaked in this dreamy cottage garden ambiance; and it paired so well with the downtown scene of Coral Gables! We love the fact that this wedding served as a serene little secret garden style paradise hidden in the heart of the city.

There were of course a couple of special touches in the wedding design from the couple. First, the homemade dried flower confetti was such a hit!! Kelly saved all of the flowers that Bri had given her throughout their relationship (how cute!!), and when wedding day started to creep up she decided to use the florals in the ceremony! Using pages from thrifted books, Kelly DIYed paper cones and stuffed each cone with the petals from the dried flowers. Guests were directed to shower the couple with these petals as they exited their wedding ceremony. It was such a beautiful little tie in to their love story entering its new chapter! Second, Kelly really wanted to be sure that guests could have. a useful keepsake from her wedding day; so for favors we set up a station with stunning thrifted glassware & each guest was directed to pick one out to keep!

I loved being part of this beautiful day for this amazing couple, and I hope you all love seeing a glimpse into their wedding day.
